Vitamin D Council — research and advocacy
The VDC was founded in 2003 by John J. Cannell, MD, who observed that many patients in a maximum-security psychiatric hospital were vitamin D deficient. The Council grew to become a trusted global resource for evidence-based research, education, and guidance about vitamin D's role in health.
